Company

IRINI OLIVES is an olive company based in Agrinio, Greece. Its activity involves the supply, processing and packaging of olive products, on behalf of our corporate customers in Greece and abroad.

The company was established in 1971 by Antonis Tsilimpokos as a private enterprise which was occupied with the commerce of the famous Agrinion olives produced from selected local producers. During the early 80s it expanded its activity in the field of processing, storing and packaging.

In 1997 the company invested in building of modern infrastructure and mechanical facilities and finally acquired its present form, extending itscommercial activity in the field of exporting its products abroad.

Nowadays IRINI OLIVES uses its 45 year experience in the trade of olive and following the latest technological developments in processing of olive products focuses on the quality and excellence of its products.

It apply a modern integrated quality control system throughout the entire production process according to the international quality standards. This guarantees the excellent quality of olive products with which the company supplies not only the internal Greek but also the international market.

Facility

IRINI OLIVES has modern production facility with its building infrastructure extendingover 3.000m2 in a total private area of 20.000m2 in the region of the city of Agrinio in Greece, where it operates in harmony with the surrounding natural environment.

The Company is able to process all kinds of olives in all possible shapes and forms -whole, pitted or sliced- and to standardize in packaging whichmeets the demandsand needs of every customer in the national and international market.

The Company provides a storage capacity of 500 tons, of which 250 tons of olives in closed-maturity buckets and 250 tons to open-type curing bins, available for processing, according to customer’s needs.

It has the most modern machinery equipment, which is being used throughout the whole production process, including suction and transport assembly, sorting and grading line, coring line and cutting into rings, marking and packing line.

The Company has an integrated advanced technology system in accordance with international standards ELOT EN ISO 22000: 2005, concerning the production processes, the management of food safety and environmental care.

Products

KALAMON
The Kalamon olive (Olea Europaea Ceraticarpa) has gotten its name from the place of its origin, the region of Kalamata, but its cultivation extends over large areas of the whole country, especially in the prefectures of Laconia­ and Fthiotida. It is known for its particularly pointed shape that curves unilateral and its intense homogeneous dark brown to black color. It has medium size (2.5-8 gr), compact body crisp, fruity aroma and slightly bitter flavor.

CONSERVOELIA
The Konservoelia (Olea Europaea Rotunda) is grown almost exclusively in central Greece and particularly in the areas of Agrinion, Arta, Amfissa, Lamia and Pelion, of which it also takes its name. It is known for its unique round shape and white crunchy flesh, easily detachable from the core. The fruit is large (5-12 gr) and its color varies green, blond or black, depending on the time of harvest.

OLIVE OF CHALKIDIKI
The Halkidiki olive (Olea Europaea Rubrotunda), cultivated mainly in northern Greece, especially in the areas of Chalkidiki, Kavala and Serres. It is known for its large size (6-12 gr) and its bright green color. It has a cylindrical to conical shape ending in a nipple, fine fruity aroma and spicy, slightly bitter flavor.

Packaging

IRINI OLIVES offers all types and sizes of packages in order to precisely meet each customer’s individual needs.

The different types of packages offer several preserving options of the olives: airtight, in brine (salt and water without chemical additives), marinated in virgin olive oil, with pasteurization and away from sunlight, ensuring an unaltered taste and a long maintenance of the products.
